More than an event, the 52nd F.I.C.B. is a time of cultural, gastronomy and wines sharing and the promotion of wines from various regions.
Guided and commented wine tastings of wines from several regions with echange of experiences and knowledge.
Musical and entertainment moments that provide the Portuguese soul.
The social sharing between Brotherhoods members is one of the highlights of the events.
Touristic tours to various wine regions in Portugal are scheduled.
The wine brotherhoods of the world, members of F.I.C.B., will gather in Portugal in 2023 for an exceptional programme proposed by the Federation of Portuguese wine brotherhoods It will be a great opportunity for all our sisters and brothers in wine to visit prestigious wine estates and taste a unique selection of Portuguese wines, discover great sights, share convivial moments, and to enjoy the Portuguese gastronomy and warm welcome. We will thus apply the motto of F.I.C.B.: “sharing the love and the reason for wine”!
“The Brotherhoods existing in our country, members of the Portuguese Federation of Wine Brotherhoods, bring together all the dynamism linked to this activity sector, as well as the history, traditions and culture of their regions and people.
The 52nd International Congress of Wines Brotherhoods – F.I.C.B. 2023 will be an evidence of the unique capacity that the Brotherhoods to highlight the best we have in Portugal – several products of excellence clearly different in a territory that covers remarkable different realities.
“As a former member of the Chancellery of the Port Wine Brotherhood, over the years I have found that the Brotherhoods are an important asset to promote the country, regions and locally produced products.
The Brotherhoods members, specialists in the most diverse activities, are an essential mean of communication and promotion of the different regions worldwide.
It was an honor for me to preside over the Congress of the 1998 F.I.C.B. in Portugal, an honor now renewed to be invited again to chair the organization of the 52nd International Congress of Wines Brotherhoods – F.I.C.B. 2023.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the Brotherhoods who undertake efforts in their day-to-day to promote their regions and products and to welcome the Brotherhood members who will attend at this new Congress in Portugal, from 27th of May to 3rd of June 2023.
The Organizing Committee hopes to provide to all good moments during the visit to the regions of Vinho Verde, Vinho do Porto, Évora/Alentejo, Oeiras and Lisboa, as well as gastronomic and wine experiences in these regions.

The 25th Grand Chapter of the Enthronement of the Order of The Companions of St. Vincent took place on May 12, 2018, at Quinta da Boeira, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
